This week we have been writing descriptions of the characters in "No Dinner". We have used drama activities to help us think about what the different characters are like, considering how we can describe both their personality and appearence. In our geography work we have looked at homes in the Kumaon region of India and compared them to our home in Cheadle Hulme. We pretended to be tour guides and took our classmates on a tour of our homes thinking about the key features and how these differed to Kumaon homes.
Next week we will continue our geographical comparison of Cheadle Hulme and the Kumaon region of India by looking at similarities and differences between schools. We will also be scientists and set up an experiment to discover which conditions are needed to grow cress seeds. We will think about how to make the test fair and use our existing scientific knowledge to make predictions. We will observe and then record our findings. The results may surprise us!
Homework this week is a comprehension activity answering questions about a fable. Following this weeks 2x table test please practise the division facts for the 2x table which we will test on 14th February. You will find your child's next steps in the purple homework book for your information and support. Also, remember next Friday is the last day to hand in reading passports in order to gain a reading reward!
