This week we have been so busy practising for our carol service next week. We had a very good rehearsal on Wednesday morning when the children walked to All Saints Church - many thanks to our volunteers who accompanied the children. It was the first (and only!) time the children have been able to practise in the actual positions they will be in next week. We're sure you are going to be so proud of them - they have all worked so hard and their singing is really lovely.
We have started reading a new book in Literacy this week - "Scruffy Bear and the Three White Mice" by Chris Wormell - and are using it to generate some sentence writing. In Maths we have been solving some simple number problems involving addition and subtraction including missing number problems like ? + 3 = 10 and ? - 4 = 6. We have also been learning about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores in Science and how to identify them based on an animal's diet, and we have enjoyed using clay in Art.
Our homework this week is a spelling and sentence writing sheet based on "no" and "go".
We hope you will be able to join us for our carol concert next week - we will be opening the church doors at 5.45 pm for the start of the service at 6.00 pm. We will be sending home an Order of Service on Monday - please do bring it with you. We will be singing Away in a Manger and would like you to join in - the words are in the Order of Service!
Looking forward to seeing you.
With best wishes
