This week we have been continuing with our Design Technology project making a fabric Christmas decoration. We have learnt how to use a paper pattern, pinning it to the fabric and carefully cutting around it to create the shape of our design. We have also enjoyed creating a simple computer animation about The Great Fire of London. We drew a series of pictures showing the fire spreading along a street. The programme then linked the pictures together to create a simple flick book style animation which was lots of fun to watch!
Next week we will work scientifically to investigate which material is best to use for making a waterproof shelter. We will also continue to practise for our performance of "The Stars Come Out for Christmas". Don't forget to send in a costume by Wednesday 5th December.
Homework this week is to identify nouns and adjectives, using these to create noun phrases. This will support the children's grammar knowledge and help them to develop their descriptive writing skills.
