As school closes today to all but key worker children and vulnerable pupils, I would like to thank everyone within our school community – staff, parents, Governors and, of course, the pupils for their support, help and positive spirit over the past few weeks. It has been, and will continue to be, a hard and difficult time for all of us but by facing the challenges together we overcame the first barrier immediately.
The ‘home learning’ tab on our website will be populated with learning opportunities for the pupils today to undertake up to Easter. We hope you find the resources and ideas useful. Please do not feel that you have to emulate a full school day or timetable at home, this is an opportunity to relish being with your children, something, I feel in the current climate is vital for them and yourselves. Do play outside, bake cookies, paint pictures, play board games, or start a family ‘read together’ book. On return to School we will continue the children’s learning together. It is most important in these uncertain times, that our children feel secure, loved and maintain positive mental health.
Thank you again for your support and please do email or telephone school if you need us.
